Relief Campaign

On 19.11.2021, the company Heinrichs participated with a transport of relief goods to the Ahrtal, which was hit by the flood disaster. Beforehand, the management had provided the company's own truck including driver for this purpose!

At 5 o'clock in the morning, the first unloading station was in Mayschoß, where 134 Nordmann firs were unloaded; these are to be set up along the Ahr during Advent and stand symbolically for the 134 victims.

The next stop was the village of Schuld, which was particularly badly hit by the flood; there are very few houses left that can be inhabited. Here almost 3 tons of plaster and mortar as well as a building element were unloaded, with which it is possible there to restore at least a minimum of living space!

The last stop of the day was the village of Dernau. Here a bedroom was delivered.

Many people know the flood disaster only from the media. The pictures of the devastation have unfortunately disappeared from public view after 4 weeks! However, it will still take years until a certain infrastructure is restored in the Ahrtal, which was particularly hard hit. Many more transports and work missions of this kind will be necessary. The people there depend on our solidarity!
